You probably know these cookies from your childhood. At least I always brought them to school. These tasty cookies have a vanilla filling with a chocolate layer on top. They really melt in your mouth and if you’re not careful, they’ll all be gone at once. You can make 15 servings with this recipe.

Ingredients
For the cookie dough
- 150 grams of flour
- 100 grams of butter (room temperature)
- 75 grams of white bastard sugar
- 1/2 egg
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
For the vanilla filling
- 85 grams of butter (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 120 grams of powdered sugar
For the chocolate layer
- 180 grams of milk chocolate
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together. At the end, knead the dough with your hands until you have a ball.
- Wrap the dough in foil and put it in the fridge for 20 minutes. This will ensure that the cookies do not spread in the oven.
- After 20 minutes take the dough out of the fridge. Flour the table and roll out the dough. Make sure you use enough flour! Now cut the cookies out of the dough with a cookie cutter.
- Cover the baking tray with baking paper and bake the cookies at 160 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
- Let the cookies cool completely and in the meantime make the filling.
- Mix all the ingredients together of the vanilla filling, this takes about 12 minutes. The filling must be fluffy, so make sure you mix long enough.

- Put the cookies with filling in the freezer for 5 minutes. In the meantime melt the milk chocolate.
- Place some foil over a wooden cutting board. Take the cookies out of the freezer en dip them in the milk chocolate and lay them on the cutting board.
- Wait for the chocolate to harden and you’re ready to eat!
