Who doesn’t like donuts. You probably know them from the supermarket. The pink, yellow, brown and white donuts. Which do you always take? I always like the pink the best! It super easy to make, so have fun. The inside is really soft and it has the best glazing on top of it. You can make 8 servings with these recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon of warm water (24 degrees celsius)
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cup/ 195 grams of flour
- 1/2 cup/ 120 ml of warm milk (24 degrees celsius)
- 30 grams of butter (room temperature)
- 1 1/2 egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 4 grams of salt
- powdered sugar
- water
- food colouring
- sprinkles
Instructions
- In a little bowl add the yeast, warm water and 1/2 teaspoon of granulated sugar. Cover the yeast mixture with some foil and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes.
- In a big bowl add the flour, milk, butter and egg yolks. Then on the left side of the bowl add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and the yeast mixture. Then on the right side add the salt. This is to make sure the salt doesn’t interrupt the rising process. Mix everything till you have a nice smooth dough. This takes about 5-10 minutes, the dough is ready when you can pull a gluten window out of it. (Search on google: dough gluten test).
- When the dough is ready, shape it into a ball. Put a little bit of olive oil in a clean bowl and grease the bowl. Then put the dough in the bowl, cover with foil and let it rest in a warm space for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and roll it into a square. Cut out 8 rounds out of the dough. Make sure you use all the dough for 8 donuts, otherwise they will be too thin. Now cut a small circle in the middle, so that it gets a donut shape.
- Lay the donuts on baking paper cover it with foil and let them rest for about 1 hour in a warm place.
- Fry the donuts on 180 degrees celsius for about 2-3 minutes per side, till golden brown.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain and let it cool.
- For the icing sugar, mix some powdered sugar with a little water. Add food colouring.
- Dip the donuts in the icing sugar and add some sprinkles on top. Enjoy!
