A dutch farmers cake with a touch of lemon and fresh strawberries! So delicate, you need to try this! Perfect for your any occasion and so easy to make. You can make 1 loaf cake with this recipe (9 servings).

Ingredients:
- 200 g granulated sugar
- 250 g softened salted butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 lemons
- 250 g flour
- 8 g baking powder
- 40 g Greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 5 tbsp milk
Instructions:
- Mix the butter with the sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time while continuing to mix on low speed.
- Once mixed, add the yogurt, vanilla extract, lemon juice from 1 lemon and lemon zest from 1 lemon. Stir this well.
- Then add the flour and baking powder. Mix these into the batter with a spatula and do not stir too long, otherwise the cake will become tough later.
- Now add the chopped strawberries to the batter and gently stir it through.
- Transfer the batter into a cake tin and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 165 degrees Celsius. Make sure the cake tin is greased with melted butter and then dusted with flour.
- Check with a skewer whether the cake is cooked inside. You can see this by checking whether the skewer comes out of the cake completely clean.
- Before removing the cake from the tin, let it cool for 30 minutes.
- For the icing layer, we mix the icing sugar with the milk and lemon juice from 1/2 lemon. Make sure that the icing is nice and white and not too drippy. Put the icing on the cake, decorate the cake with some strawberries and lemon.
